The Propaganda Page

From the time of its inception, August 1969, to the current dawn of the new millennium, Air Tight Management's legacy now spans four decades as a pioneering leader in the cultivation and refinement of the type of music-oriented service company now commonly referred to as a "boutique" artist management firm.

The company's longevity and its noteworthy list of accomplishments are distinguishing elements in and of themselves. However, the two most obvious characteristics that have continuously set Air Tight apart from other American-based artist management companies are that first, from day one, its focus has been global. Secondly, its roster has historically remained compact, diverse and admittedly, quite prestigious.

Rather than dealing with legions of trendy bands or attempting to discover and launch the new world's answer to the Beatles, Air Tight has primarily dealt within the international marketplace on behalf of many already established artists, one-to-one on a project-to-project basis. Specializing in continued artist development and assistance in all forms of contract procurement (i.e. record and publishing deals, television and motion picture sound track synchronizations, producer agreements, master and distribution licenses, concert touring and agency representation, endorsements and sponsorships, etc.), Air Tight has evolved into a veteran company, highly experienced and professionally versed in the task of enhancing the overall careers and worldwide profiles of talented artists, regardless of their specific musical craft, stylistic genre or particular objectives.

In retrospect, the company's history could actually stand as an informational guide to mapping the effective development of a modern global artist management company, while its subsequent client list could serve as an index file with which to identify some of the music industry's most colorful, uniquely talented and influential contributors. A partial list of past and current clients includes members of the Grateful Dead, It's A Beautiful Day, Chicago, Huey Lewis and the News, All The Voices and Nirvana, as well as the contemporary jazz supergroup Fourplay, world renowned R&B bassist Rocco Prestia and Nashville songwriter/producer Gary Burr.

Air Tight Management's most valuable asset may be its ability to bring elements of global experience and success to the growing personal management needs and concerns of today's established musical entrepreneurs and aspiring artists as well. It is a company that has firmly held on to its original goals and ideals while simultaneously keeping its eyes and ears tuned to the future.
